Kilchiaran Self Catering cottage is a semi-detached, two storey cottage in the tranquill west of Islay, yet only a few miles from Port Charlotte. Kilchiaran Cottage was built in 1890 as accommodation for slate workers and has been fully modernised. It sleeps up to five adults. It is situated on a working farm, with both sheep and cattle, and has a distinctive round steading built in 1825, which now a listed building.
The cottage has a lounge with Freesat TV and electric fire. We also offer free Wifi. The kitchen has a spacious dining area and is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances. The bathroom has both a separate shower and bath. There are two bedrooms on the upper floor; one double and one with a single bed and bunk beds.
Kilchiaran self catering cottage has central heating throughout and electricity is included in the price. Kilchiaran Bay and Chapel are a five minute walk from the cottage. Also nearby, via a good track next to the cottage, is the Radar Station/Granny’s Rock which has spectacular views of the outstanding Kilchoman Beach. You can walk to Kilchoman for a great day out.
